The young boy was given the unfortunate nickname of “the most obese child in the world.”
Arya Permana, who was only 16 years old, had a daily diet consisting of five meals. These meals consisted of rice, fish, meat, vegetable soup, and a traditional soy patty. The quantity of food he consumed was sufficient to nourish two regular adults.
Arya encountered difficulties due to his significant weight, which resulted in him being unable to go to school because he became breathless while walking. Moreover, he faced struggles in finding clothes that would fit him properly, and for a prolonged period, he had no choice but to wear only a sarong.
However, he eventually mustered up the bravery to change the course of events.
Arya Permana underwent an impressive transformation, going from a weight of 421 lb (191 kg) to a much lighter 183 lb (83 kg). In addition to his personal achievement, he has also served as a source of inspiration for others, encouraging them to adopt healthier habits. This success would not have been possible without the guidance of his devoted trainer, Ade Rai, who helped Arya recognize the significance of staying active and maintaining a well-rounded diet.
Many people see Arya as a source of hope.
The trainer of Arya revealed that originally, Arya weighed 187 pounds (85 kilograms) but his appetite suddenly increased. However, he is now on a mission to lose weight while still maintaining his joyful nature. This is particularly noteworthy because it is uncommon among adults. Arya has become a symbol of hope and motivation, with people now making comments such as, “If Arya can shed pounds, then why can’t I?”
The child is achieving remarkable results by adhering to a rigorous training plan, sticking to a healthy eating regimen, and receiving top-notch medical attention. As per Ade Somantri, Aria’s father, his son’s impressive weight loss achievements are a result of a combination of superior medical care, a committed workout regimen, and a nutritious diet.
Arya previously had difficulty standing for extended periods, but following a significant operation to decrease his food intake, he can now engage in activities like playing football with friends and walking to school. We are thrilled for his progress.
